This poem is dedicated to Barbaro I found it on a website.
Barbaro
A beautiful colt standing proud and tall,
so many of your pictures decorate a wall.
Playful, whimsical, full of style and grace,
the epitome of happiness at every new place.

So young, so free I can hear the clip clop,
the sound of your hoofs get louder till you stop.
Everyone wants to see, feel, touch your presence,
forever a memory, now only your essence.

A gifted stance fit for a king you walk,
people hug you, ride you and sometimes talk.
Races you have won are a matter of course,
you my friend are one handsome horse.

Your tired body, riddled with pain,
fought so bravely with everything to gain.
In your behalf many valiantly work,
tirelessly they wait for the slightest perk.

What a beautiful colt, your body lay still,
your spirit lives on, the air not a chill.
A league of your own you will always be,
look down from heaven and you will see.

All those who love you will always care,
though you are gone, will always be there.
A spot for you is reserved in their heart,
forever together, never more apart.
