Drip Dry by Susan Derr Drake

A summer’s rinse
in wash rack ties.

Dried salt and sweat
washed out of eyes.

Massaging spray
deep breaths and sighs.

Cool water flows
like morning tides.

At last we have,
relief from flies.

Sweat scraper lost
must later buy.

Now standing there
to do ‘drip dry’.
